ifilm English TV to air ‘Edge of Darkness’

‘Edge of Darkness’ series has been scheduled to go on air by ifilm English TV from January 8, 2018.

The series is directed by Saeed Soltani and produced by Hossein Pirhadi as well as Ali-Akbar Shah-Moradi.

In the series, Nasser turns to drugs to cope with his loss and gets fired as a consequence, after the death of his wife.

In his search for a new job, he meets an old friend, a big-time drug dealer who offers him a job and something more.

‘Edge of Darkness’ cast list includes Mina Jafarzadeh, Alireza Jafari, Roya Teimourian, Danial Hakimi, Pejman Bazeghi, Azita Lachini, Yekta Nasser, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Farhad Besharati, Reza Khandan, Amir Atashani, Shaqayeq Nazeri and Aram Jafari.

The director, Soltani, is a graduate of cinema from Tehran University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

He was a teacher for a while; but due to his directing work and TV projects, he resigned from his job and dedicated his time to directing and editing.

Soltani began directing with a short film. He then wrote and directed a few TV series.

‘Edge of Darkness’, produced in 2005, is to replace the series ‘The Redemption’ to be broadcast at 18:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00. ‘Edge of Darkness’ is comprised of 19 segments.
